What is the UKCAT Exam?

- UKCAT is an exam which helps medical schools choose the most "gifted" applicants.
- Most UK medical schools require you to take UKCAT before applying
- The test consists of five subtests:
@ Verbal reasoning: thinking logically about written information
@ Quantitative reasoning: solving numerical problems
@ Abstract reasoning: inferring relationships from information
@ Decision analysis: infer relationships making informed judgements about information
@ Non-cognitive analysis: identifies attributes and characteristics that make a good doctor.

What is the Pre-UKCAT Course?

- The PreUKCAT Course is a one day UKCAT preparation course
- The course is taught by a team of experienced Doctors
- Next course: September 2010 - Booking available nearer the course date

How can attending PreUKCAT help?

- Although the UKCAT exam is an aptitude test, as with any test, practice makes perfect.
- The course uses Lectures, Mock Exams and Feedback to prepare you for the exam.
- Look at the feedback from last year's course to see honest opinions on the course quality.
Yours sincerely,
Dr Richard Harrison & Dr Ben Turney
On behalf of all The PreUKCAT Doctors & Faculty.
